I have a fear of poisonous snakes (rational). I have a fear of falling into the Grand Canyon when I walk close to the edge where there is no guard rail (mostly rational). My heart pounds, my stomach quivers, and my knees knock when I am in a position to witness (not rational).

Envy is a wasted emotion. I say this because envy is based on a lie. In order to feel envious, we must believe that something that someone is, or has, makes them a happier person than we are. We must also believe that having that thing will make us happy.
